PHILEN CONSTRUCTION EROSION CONTROL
 704-622-1233
Philen Construction established in 2001, is a privately held corporation that specializes in Soil Sediment Coal Ash Stabilization, and Erosion Control.
In 2001, Karen Kieffer and Daryl Philen were both involved in land development and construction since the 1990's. Together, they began to think about how they could make a move into the construction environment. Owning a small working Angus farm, and wanting "Best Practices" for their animals and the environment, led to the desire to bring "Best Practies" to Developers, Energy/Power, Nuclear and Commercial  clients in need of Erosion Control. It was a natural fit, beginning with a tractors,  trucks, and determination to succeed.

RESPONSIBLE FOR:  Operational Management of crews and equipment. Environmental Health and Safety.

EXPERIENCE:  Daryl began his construction career, as many do after attending Central Piedmont Community College. He took a job framing houses. Over time he was able to learn and grow with and through great mentors. Daryl developed into site management and organizational responsibilities in land development and construction. Daryl was born in Decatur, Georgia. He moved to Charlotte during middle school and graduated from East Mecklenburg High School. His family always liked "horsing around" so it is no surprise his love of animals and nature remained a true passion. His ability to learn and grow was evident with a desire to also raise Angus Cattle. Again, the pattern is clear. Daryl quickly learned from great farming mentors, neighbors, and a ton of "on the job training".
